About Me

I’m a freelance writer of feature articles and copy alongside working on PR & communications solutions for businesses.  I have three young boys and my husband and I love living by the beach in Cooee Bay on the Capricorn Coast, central Queensland, Australia.

I’ve created television, radio and press coverage, communications solutions, copy and feature stories for organizations including Capricorn Enterprises, Capricorn Coast Writers Festival, CQ Village Festival, Bracewell, Brian Hooper Architect, Rose Hawkins Yoga, Keppel Bay Marina, The Waterline Restaurant and Belinda Reid artist.

I blog about mind and body health, mental health, family, travel, books, lifestyle, renovating and mining town life.

My work has been published in digital and print publications including Essential Kids, 2515, Northern Illawarra, Rockhampton Morning Bulletin, Shiftminer, Mining Family Matters, Visit Brisbane, Parent’s Guide to the Illawarra.

During my spare time, I’ve jumped on board with CQ University Village Festival and the inaugural Capricorn Coast Writers Festival to implement and coordinate marketing and public relations programs.  Oh and did I mention I’ve moved more than 44 times!

After spending my 20s working in public relations, advertising and branding agencies and traveling, I moved into marketing for festivals and tourism.

Then came an adventure in small town mining life and a working in community relations and creating a career as a freelance writer, blogger, event planner and yoga teacher.

In between all of that I’ve been raising three boys, finishing my Bachelor of Communications and several courses at the Australian Writers Centre including feature writing for magazines and newspapers 1 and 2, travel writing, interiors writing and the masterclass for freelance writers.

I love to create and tell a great story.  I’d love to tell yours.
