Eat play stay

The world is full of new places to eat, play, stay, here are three new adventures.

  1. Tweed businesswoman Megan Gardner has started a glamping venture The Hideaway at Cabarita Beach which is great because according to Tourism Research Australia data 5.59 million overnight camping trip in 2017.
  2. On the edge of Burleigh beach the newly revamped Burleigh Pavillionhas finally opened.  It’s the place to be seen. Plagued by delays, the site was a hive of activity with dozens of tradies working day and night to get open Christmas Eve 2018.  It’s gorgeous, if not a little noisy and light on customer service but I’m sure they’ll figure it out.
  3. You’ve heard of cellar doors for wine, now Australia has its first Oyster Cellar door at Oyster HQ in South Australia.  Taking paddock (sea) to plate to another dimension, you can catch, shuck and taste your oysters all in one spot.  Not that you’ll see me there sucking on one of those slimy, stinky crustaceans!
